Experience

***14 YEARS FULL-TIME GUIDE***

Jay Adams has been a full-time guide in the Rockport, TX area and surrounding bay systems since  1994.  He averages over  200  days a year on the water, with customers, as a professional fishing guide.

Whether you prefer to fish with live bait from the boat or  wading with lures, Jay will strive to produce the most fish possible for your enjoyment. His years of experience  will ensure you have an enjoyable and successful day on the water.  He is courteous, patient,  and experienced to handle anglers of all skill levels.

                        Kids are always welcome!

Equipment:

Jay runs a new 24 foot Haynie HO bay boat and an 18 foot Ronnies Airboat.  Both boats are dry and comfortable.

All rods are G-Loomis with Shimano reels.

Duck Hunting:

Jay personally guides all duck hunts himself.  Your duck hunt includes airboat transportaion, dog, decoys and blinds.  You will not be huniting with anyone other than your group.

Bay Fishing:

Jay fishes from Baffin Bay to San Antonio Bay with lures or live bait.

Typical fishing trips target trout, redfish, flounder and black drum .

All trips leave from Rockport or Port Aransas except the trophy trout trips.  All trophy trout trips are taken in Baffin Bay.

Airboat fishing:

Fish the back lakes of Matagorda Island, St. Joe Island, and the Aransas Wildlife refuge for trophy redfish from an 18x8 airboat.  Experience the pull of a redfish in only inches of water with either bait or lures without the crowds.

Whooping Crane tours and bird watching:

Guided airboat tours leave from Goose Island State Park and will include an adventure through tidal creeks and wetlands only accessible by airboats.  Tours provide access to the back lakes of Matagorda and St. Joe Island where the Whooping cranes spend the majority of their time away from the crowds.  The trips are custom tailored to your needs as a bird watcher.  The airboat will provide a stable platform to view and photograph some of the nation’s rarest birds and wildlife indigenous to this area.  See picturesque landscapes and salt marsh flourishing with wildlife only seen by an airboat.  Reddish Egrets, Rosetta Spoonbills, Whooping Cranes, Avocets, Oyster Catchers,  Great Blue Herons, Tricolor Herons, Crowned Night Herons, and many different species of ducks and shorebirds can all be seen in their natural habitat from the comfort of  an airboat.
